This program will give you the unique chance of sharing trivial moments of rural life amidst a Karen community. You will spend unforgettable moments, in total harmony with the nature surrounded by the mountains of Doi Inthanon National Park (featuring the highest summit of Thailand. You will be accommodated in a lodge built by the very community for their hosts.
The guides of the community will escort you in your exploration of the village and discovery of its surroundings. They will explain you their uses and customs, their traditions and all particularities of the village and its villagers. You will also understand the strong relationship that human maintains with nature, as the prevailing economic model existing in the community
You will of course discover very welcoming people, superb landscapes and will understand that sustainability is not here a modern concept, but a way of life that has always been so. You will taste Arabica coffee, produced locally, on the mountains of the park… Very interesting program indeed putting forward live models really worth to be discovered
Day 1 Chiang Mai – Doi Inthanon

Pick-up in your hotel in downtown Chiangmqi by your local English speaking guide. Transfer by private vehicle to the Doi Inthanon National Park – Welcome in the village - Walk with your local guide across the village to better understand how villagers do live. You will stop at the school and interact with kids and teachers if the school is open this day

Afternoon:
Discovery of the crops of the season with possibility to interact with villagers (rice, coffee, strawberries or other) – Back to the village - Free time to install yourself in your private house –

Day 2 Doi Inthanon

Morning:
Departure for a first discovery of the beauty of the park (crops, terrace paddy fields, waterfalls, etc…)

Resume the discovery of the hidden beauties of the park in the close surrounding of the village – Back to the village – Free time al leisure for relax or freshen-up

Day 3 Doi Inthanon - Chiangmai

Morning:
Departure towards the Royal Project agricultural area of the park and discovery of the crops and history of the Royal Project (substitution to the Poppy plantations)
Lunch served in a local restaurant
Afternoon:
Road up to the summit of the park, visit the 2 memorial chedis and the wild orchids humid forest – Transfer back by private vehicle to Chiangmai – Arrival in Chiangmai by end afternoon – Drop-off at your hotel, the train station or airport
