Beautiful cruise on an old rice barge, slowly sailing up and down the Chao Phraya River. You will observe the daily life of people living on the banks of the ‘River of Kings’, and will enjoy a charming river cruise, in a small group. Meals are served on board with 2 overnights in a comfortable cabin.

Besides gorgeous views along the banks, you will visit the superb Royal Summer Residence of Ban Pa In, as it surprising neo-gothic monastery. You will also observe some of the ruins of the old city of Ayutthaya.

Ayutthaya was founded in the 14th century, and by the 17th century it became one of the most powerful cities in Asia. The ruins of the main buildings are an evidence of the power of the ancient city, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We also care for the transfer from your hotel to the pier and at the end of 3^rd day, we will transfer you back to your hotel or the airport, towards end afternoon.

Day 1 Bangkok – Pathum Thani (Departure on fixed dates – consult us)

Pick-up around 12h00 by your private driver at the lobby of your hotel in Bangkok – Private transfer by a/c vehicle to Bangkok pier where the barge is moored – Embark on board

Beginning of the cruise by early afternoon (after lunch) – You will observe the local life on both sides of the river of kings during the whole afternoon – Prestigious buildings of Bangkok, northern suburb of the capital and the countryside

Arrival in Pathum Thani, where the boat is moored for the night; the aperitif will be served at sunset

Dinner served on board

Overnight onboard – Individual cabin with private bathroom

Day 2 Pathum Thani - Ayutthaya – Ban Pa In

Meals: B / L / D

Possibility to attend the traditional alms giving to monks in a local monastery (optional and very early morning)

Morning:

Continue the navigation to Bang Pa In pier – Disembark at the pier and pick-up by your English speaking guide – Start the visits by private a/c vehicle

Visit the Royal Residence of Bang Pa In (main pavilions) and the neo-gothic Lusitanian Buddhist monastery – Back on board

Lunch served on board

Afternoon:

Resume the navigation towards the ancient capital of Siam (Ayutthaya), classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site – Whist the barge arrives at the mooring pier, you will observe some old temples that made History of the city – Rest of the afternoon at leisure so that you can explore more ruins by your own - Back on board

Dinner served on board

Overnight onboard – Individual cabin with private bathroom

Day 3 - Ayutthaya – Koh Kred - Bangkok

Navigation resumes early morning

Breakfast served on board

Morning:

Continue the navigation towards Bangkok’s outskirts and Koh Kred Island – Stop to visit part of the island, mainly populated by a Mon ethnic community – Back on board

Lunch served on board

Afternoon:

Resume the navigation towards Bangkok – Arrival at the pier around 16h00 – Disembark and transfer back to your hotel or the airport
