About ten years ago, the small island of Koh Samed became known as the local ‘Ibiza’… The water and sand are of very good quality and the island is particularly well suited for leisure. At that time, the island was visited by European backpackers and Robinsons.
Bungalows and chalets from that time have almost vanished from the island to give space to good quality or even luxury hotels. However, quality of sand and water has remained unchanged and the island continues being a tropical paradise nook, perfect for lazing on in all tranquility, at less than a three-hour drive from Bangkok.
