Buddhism is a teaching (Dharma) that arose in northern India about 2500 years ago. The prince Siddhartha, abandoned his statute to dedicate himself to the search for freedom of any forms of attachment, origin of suffering. Thanks to deep meditation, He transcended human condition and reach enlightenment. Afterwards, he spent the rest of his life teaching Dharma.
During 3 days, we try to lift the veil on what seems often unclear to Westerners. We limit our role to giving some keys to better understand Dharma, rituals as they are performed in Thailand and the abecedarian of meditation (Vipassana)
Day 1 Bangkok - Saraburi

Morning:
Pick-up by your English speaking guide at your hotel in downtown Bangkok and transfer per a/c vehicle to the Wat Saket Maha Wora Wihan – Visit the temple.
Lunch served in a local restaurant
Afternoon:
Meeting with a monk and conversation with explanations on Buddhism in Thailand – Transfer with the same vehicle to Wat Khao Wong, in the province of Saraburi – Arrival at the temple – Short introduction on rules to respect in this monastery (specialized in meditation) – Evening chanting
Dinner at leisure and not included
Overnight at the temple (Separated sleeping facilities – Men or Women – Public bath
Day 2 Saraburi
Meals: B/ L/ -
Morning:
Chanting and meditation sessions as from 4h30 – Breakfast as from 7h00 – Meditation during the rest of the morning
Lunch taken in the refectory of the monastery
Afternoon:
Time for relax, meditation (sitting, walking) – Walk through the garden – Evening chanting
Dinner at leisure and not included
Overnight at the temple (Separated sleeping facilities – Men or Women – Public bath
Day 3 Saraburi - Bangkok
Meals: B/ L/ -
Morning:
Chanting and meditation sessions as from 4h30 – Breakfast as from 7h00 – Meditation during the rest of the morning
Lunch taken in the refectory of the monastery
Afternoon:
Walk in the garden and transfer back to Bangkok – Halt and visit the site of the Prabuthabat – Drop-off at your hotel by end of the day
IMPORTANT
- Perfect program for small groups of 4 to 8 persons.
- Only confirmable base on request introduced in enough time in advance
- Tobacco and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited
- Costs of this program pay mainly the logistic (guide, vehicle, organization). A donation is included in our prices for the center of meditation in Saraburi (maintenance of the temple)
- Such a program is not suitable for ordinary tourists, but for those prepared to live this kind of experience, which is not a common tourists’ activity. It goes about a spiritual retreat. Therefore, participants are required to follow the rules of Buddhist temples in Thailand
