This brand new trendy boutique hotel located at the entrance of Soi 22 on Sukhumvit road is a real outsider in its category. Not more than 90 compact but superbly appointed rooms, a muffled lobby corner, a bright bar lounge with huge bow window overlooking the street, a trendy restaurant and a nice sundeck with swimming pool on the roof, compose this modern and discrete property.
Materials used are totally contemporaneous. Rooms all feature air conditioning, superb dark massive wooden floors, warm dark grey painted walls, trendy office corner with LAN access, Flat screen satellite television, telephone, fully stocked mini bar, refrigerator, electronic safe, hair dryer, coffee or tea maker, a trendy bathroom with bathtub and separated shower corner, very nice tiles and modern sanitation material giving a lot of flair to the bathrooms.
Corner rooms are bigger than normal deluxe rooms and can accommodate a third person. These corner rooms are also connecting rooms. The rooms located on highest floors are equipped like the lower floor rooms, but due to their higher position in the building, their rate is slightly higher.
The restaurant is contemporaneously decorated with a central modern space separating the bar lounge from the main restaurant and wrapped in a light structure reminding somehow the bird nest stadium of Beijing. Besides the breakfast, food served is Thai or European, a private room next to the restaurant is especially appointed for private meetings.
The swimming pool on the roof is not huge but nice and the space around it reserved for sun bathing is quite big. The CITRUS has a little internet corner, no fitness centre neither boutique corner, but proposes exactly what one (leisure or business traveller) expects nowadays in Bangkok for a short but relaxing stay: Very good rooms, the needed facilities but not more, a prime location, the traditional services provided in a serious house and moreover, a very good value for money.
