The almost totally preserved and unknown Koh Kood Island is the ideal spot for those fond of beautiful tropical landscapes and dream white sand beaches washed by pristine blue waters. The whole island is still quite pure and infrastructure is almost nonexistent… Imagine, at the time these lines are being written, there is still not a single ATM machine on the island, which is still and all the fourth biggest island of Thailand.
Koh Kood is the most distant Island from the Koh Chang Archipelago and also the closest to Cambodia. Because of its distance from the main land (2 hours by boat), it only seduces lovers of quietness and deserted beaches. During the green season (3 months raining period), Koh Kood is hardly reachable because of the big waves making navigation dangerous. Due to this period without commercial activities, investors willing to build hotels on Koh Kood think of course twice. Its remoteness grants it somehow its preservation.
Away Koh Kood is a small and friendly resort having all the needed infrastructure to spend a relaxing and genuine beach holiday, far from hassles of modern life… Located at the mouth of a little river ending its course into the sea, its coastline is rather rocky with a very tinny sandy beach, but the resort has a beautiful white sand beach on the opposite shore of the small river, which is accessible in only seconds’ time by canoe.
The compound features a very good restaurant, a nice swimming pool, a small spa and a good scuba-diving center. Rooms are divided into 3 categories: Duplex bungalows, Deluxe ocean facing and Deluxe Ocean front bungalows… These bungalows are built from hilltop down to the swimming pool. They all feature: Air conditioning, a bathroom with shower, toilet, lavabo and cold or hot water, a nice balcony or terrace overlooking the sea, a hairdryer, a tea or coffee making machine, etc. The Deluxe category also features a satellite television.
Away Koh Kood is in its category one of the best achieved and the most welcoming resorts on the island
